Our soon to be home

and project

Lately, I have a been slightly on edge with out having a place to call "home". We have been living with my lovely in-laws, Ron and Kari, which is amazing and I am so thankful, but as newly weds it is a little strange not having a home of our home. I think I am annoying all those in my life beyond belief with how often I say, "I can't WAIT to get a house!!!"
Well, all the wishing just might bring me some luck as we are set to close on a sweet little house next Friday!!! I am beyond excited!!
Here is a taste of the MAJOR project Brady and I have to look forward to!
Back of house^
The back yard is big and open with a chain link fence. I hate chain link fences. There is zero privacy, so will be planting a zillion trees.

The living room. ^
It is verrry small. I bought a gorgeous mirror plated console table from Pier 1 a while back that I was intending to place in my new living room... at the time I didn't know I would end up with such a small space, but I will make do.

The kitchen^
It features a sad amount of counter space and cabinets. Also, with it being a foreclosure, it is missing all the appliances. I have a few things in mind that will spruce it right up!

I am thinking with such a small space we will go very modern... Black ikea cabinets a farm sink(maybe), stainless steel appliances and concrete counters/floors.
The bathroom...^ I am thinking floating vanity, copper mirror, and some sort of vessel sink...

one of the bedrooms^
They had interesting color choices.. primer will be a good friend of ours :)

And another interesting painting^
Kinda sad covering up their artwork, but it doesn't exactly go with my decor!

The only heat source in the house EEEKS! ^
The house used to have hot water heat.. but the boiler went bad and they put in a Rinnai heater. So the first thing we have to do is recycle all the copper pipes and put in forced air/central air.

the blue laundry room. ^
The sink is no longer there... they didn't cover up the hole for the plumbing, so when the home inspector turned on the water, he was sitting right where the sink used to be, he was showered in water! lol
Amazing wallpaper... that must go^

The start to a 2nd bath^

The listing description is a little hilarious, and a lie may I mind you, heh....
SLEEPING PRINCESS- if you are a Prince Charming (or Princess Charming)with a bucket of paint, some mud, tape and nails, you can awaken this 3BD(4 if you finish the room in the basement) 2BTH(if you finish the bathroom in the basement)beauty in the lower Riverview area. All she needs is a little TLC and this princess will return your love"

  4. I have to say that Ron and I have truly enjoyed having you and Brady back here.
We will miss you when you move but I completely understand why you are always saying "I can't wait til I get my own house!"
Anyways, you won't be far away. And, I can't wait to see the magic you two work with your second house.
