The ever evolving 2nd bedroom in our home has changed yet again.
|
When we bought the house, it looked like this. Those stripes were crazy hard to cover. |
|
We painted, removed the nasty carpet and ditched the window that went in the garage. We had a guest bedroom, for about 2 months.. |
|
Then the hoarding started. This room accumulated every piece of unused furniture, random accessories, clothing, jewelry. Eventually, it turned into a storage room. |
Recently, I decided rather than nagging on Brady every single day to finish the basement, I should 1st make our already finished space more livable. The drawers in our tiny kitchen have housed our misc office items for the last year. We could really use that space for other items. Then a light bulb went off in my head... We desperately need an office!
The room felt like a cave with it's dark brown walls and heavy curtains. *That window is too small for curtains!* I decided to paint the walls white and ditch the curtains all together. Who really needs curtains in an office? Are people going to spy on me through that tiny window when I write out my bills each month? If they really want to, I guess I will let them!

Then came the fun stuff! We moved in all the furniture. I'd be lying if I said I actually waited for the paint to dry before we started moving junk in. I didn't even clean the floors. Why do I do everything backwards.. I know it drives Brady absolutely nuts. I have no patience.
Any ways, it is no where near done. Imagine a gallery of art, all in white frames, scattered all over the left wall.

Better than before? I think so!
I really liked this room when it was a bedroom too (with all your pretty pillows and the nice decor), but not so much with the stripes on the walls and the nasty looking carpet. It does look really nice as an office too.
